I want to join civil services i.e. army or navy. So I want to know can I join civil services after doing graduation i.e. B.Com. general. As I don't like science but good in Mathematics so that's why I choose commerce. I got 84% in 12 and got 95 in maths. Is there any scope for civil services for me? And I am a girl?

First thing you must know that recruitment to Army or Navy is not done through Civil Services exam. At 10+2 level, it is NDA exam for Army or Navy for which girls are not eligible. After graduation, you can apply for Combined Defence Services exam for joining any wing of Defence.

For Civil Services exam, minimum qualification is graduation from a recognized university. The age limit is 21-32 years. Yes, after bachelor's degree in commerce, you can apply for Civil Services examination.

Civil Services does not mean Indian Army or Navy as through civil services examination candidates are recruited as I.A.S, I.P.S, I.F.S Officer. Yes, girls are eligible to appear in Civil Services examination.

But, as per your qualification you are eligible to appear in Civil Services and Combined Defence Services examination also.

CDS examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in defence services.
