Re: Career avenues through Staff Selection Commission and procedure to be followed?
You can apply for Combined Graduate Level Examination which is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Graduation in any discipline is required for this exam for most of posts. There are some posts which requires specialized Graduation stream like Statistical Investigator requires Graduation in Statistics and for Accountant post commerce Graduation is required.
Hence, you can definitely apply for this exam after completion of your B.Tech degree course from a recognized University. The age limit for this examination is 18 to 27 years. There is age relaxation for reserved categories. SC/ST - 5 years relaxation OBC - 3 years relaxation Physicallly Handicapped - 10 years relaxation The selection for the post will depend on merit and you need to perform very well in the written exam. It will have following stages. 1. Tier I Exam 2. Tier II Exam 3. Interview or Skill Test based on the post The questions asked are many mainly from General Knowledge, English, Maths and Reasoning. There is negative marking also for every wrong answer. For more information visit http://ssc.nic.in |
