Detailed procedure and recruitment exam to join Indian Economic Service for a postgraduate?
Hello,
I would like to know for joining Indian Economic Service what exam I have to give? I have completed my M.A. in Economics and I want to join IES. Kindly tell me the details of joining IES for me. |

To join in Indian Economic Service, you need to appear in Indian Economic Service examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year. Eligibility criteria required to appear in IES examination is mentioned below :-
1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. You must have completed graduation degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. 3. You must be in between 21-30 years of age as on 1st August of the year of examination. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules. 4. You must be physically fit as per UPSC IES examination notification. Candidates who wish to apply for IES exam can apply through online by visiting UPSC official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Written Test and Personal Interview rounds. |
