Yes, you are absolutely eligible to appear in IBPS Examinations being a B.A (Sociology) candidate. IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is an exam conducting agency conducts several recruitment examinations namely,
* IBPS Clerical Cadre Recruitment Exam
* IBPS Regional Rural Bank (RRB) Office Assistant and Officer Scale I, II and III Recruitment Exam
* IBPS Probationary Officer Recruitment Exam
* IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment Exam

The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB and IBPS PO Recruitment examinations is "Bachelor Degree" or "Graduation" pass in ANY DISCIPLINE from a recognized university. Since you have completed B.A (Sociology) which is a Graduate degree, you are eligible to give above mentioned examinations. You are not eligible to apply for IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment Examination, as Post Graduation is required for SO Recruitment.

Yes you are completely eligible to apply for " IBPS " Examinations with " B.A (Sociology ) ". In fact if you are interested to settle in a Banking sector you can apply for IBPS Examinations.

Through IBPS Examination you can have a chance to apply for a job in almost 27 public sector banks. Under IBPS you can apply for Posts like Clerk, PO/MT's and SO's.

And also you can apply for Office Assistants and Officer Scale in Regional Rural banks. For the details of the Notification you can visit the Official website of " IBPS " Click here.

The Dates of the different Examinations under IBPS you can have a look on the below attachment.

Finally I want to say that you are absolutely eligible to apply for IBPS Exams except SO. Since for the Post of SO you should have a PG degree from the recognized university.
