Eligibility criteria and qualification required to apply for SSC CGL recruitment exam?
Respected Sir,
I want to apply for SSC CGL exam of this year. I want to know about the educational qualification for applying and also the eligibility criteria. Thank you in advance |

Eligibility Criteria required to apply for SSC CGL Examination 2015:
Educational Qualification: (As on 1st January, 2015) A) For Compiler Post: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university with "Economics" or "Statistics" or "Mathematics" as compulsory or Elective Subject. B) For Statistical Investigator Grade-II Post: * Bachelor's Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects (Or) * Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics (with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/ two years/ all 3 years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. (Or) * Bachelor's Degree with Economics(with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/ two years/ all 3 years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. (Or) * Bachelor's Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/ two years/ all 3 years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. C). For All Other Posts: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Age Criteria: (As on 1st January, 2015): >> For Statistical Investigator Grade II - Maximum age is 26 years >> For Assistant/ Sub Inspector in CBI - 20 to 27 years >> For All Other Posts - 18 to 27 years Important Note: SSC CGL 2015 Recruitment notification is going to be released on 14th March, 2015 (Tentative). |

SSC CGL stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level examination. It is an entrance examination which is conducted for recruitment of various different posts. Eligibility criteria required to appear in SSC CGL recruitment examination is mentioned below :-
Eligibility Criteria :- 1. Nationality :- You must be a citizen of India. 2. Educational Qualification :- ** Compiler :- You must have completed Bachelor's Degree with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject from any recognized University. ** Statistical Investigator Grade – II :- You must have completed Bachelor's Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects from a recognised university. ** All other Posts :- You must have completed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognized University. 3. Age Limit as on 1st January of the year of examination :- ** Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central Excise)/Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner)/Inspector of Posts/ Assistant EnforcementOfficer/Inspector (CBN) Compiler/ DivisionalAccountant/ Auditors/ UDCs /Tax Assistants/ JuniorAccountant & Accountant /Sub-Inspector (CBN) :- 18-27 years. ** Statistical Investigator Gr.II :- You should not exceed more than 26 years of age. ** Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI :- 20-27 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules. |

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conduct Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam for the recruitment of Group 'C' and Group 'D' posts.
ELIGIBILITY : * Candidate should be the citizen of India. * Candidate can be Subject of Bhutan or Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : * A Graduate degree in any discipline from any recognized University. * For special posts like Compiler : Graduation degree in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics. Statistical Investigator : Graduation degree with statistics or Maths or Economics or Commerce. * Age limit is minimum of 18 years and maximum of 27 years. * Relaxation shall be given if you belong from reserved category as per Government. |

SSC CGL Eligibility :
Compiler : Applicant should have passed degree from a recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Statistical Officer : Applicant should have passed bachelor's degree with Statistics as main subject or bachelor's degree with Mathematics as main as one of subject or bachelor's degree with Economics as one of main subject or bachelor's degree with commerce as one of subject from a recognized university. All Other Post : Applicant should have passed degree from a recognized University. Age limits : -> Sub Inspector : You must should have a minimum 20 years to 26 years. -> Assistant / Sub Inspector in CBI : You must should have a minimum 20 years to 27 years. -> Stastical Invegistor : Maximum upto 26 years. -> For all other posts : You must should have a minimum 18 years to 27 years. |
