Government job being in final year of B.Tech in ECE?
I am pursuing B.Tech final year ECE. I am interested in government job. What should I do to get a govt. job?

As you are pursuing final year of graduation course, you are eligible to apply for various government jobs.
To get paced in government jobs, one must know about the vacancies and posts related to your eligibility. To know about various government jobs go through the employment newspaper in which it will publish all the latest public and government jobs vacancies. After your graduation you can appear for Bank jobs by writing IBPS. To enter into defence you can appear for UPSC exams like SSC, CDS etc.., As railways is good option for ECE candidates, appear for RRB exams. |

In Core field --- >>Through GATE you can enter into various PSU's >> IES is the exam to get job in Indian Railways and Many other central ministries. Irrespective of any field you can search lot of jobs ( government ) here. >> Banking Sector >> Civil's >> Defense Sector >> Postal Services >> Staff Selection Commission. |

You must clear entrance exams for government jobs. For example:
1. GATE for PSU jobs, 2. BSNL JTO entrance exam. 3. Indian Engineering Services. 4. Civil Services exam. 5. IBPS CWE for banking exams etc. |

You should first of all complete your graduation and after that you can opt for various examinations for government job, such as UPSC, SSC, NDA, etc.
After having successfully cleared the examination, you will probably be eligible to avail job in any governemnt sector |

A B.tech ECE Graduate can go into these many fields as listed
First and most favourite option is IES(Indian Engineering Services) Next according to the interest one can select Civil Services as options so that he/she can become IAS,IPS,IFS officers .., remember these posts are regarded as the best jobs of INDIA Coming to next category one can select Govt Aided companies like BHEL(Bharath Heavy Electronics Limited) ECIL HAL BEL BDL BSNL Another side is Bank jobs ,railway jobs and SSC exams |

As a B.Tech graduate, you can apply for jobs in some of the reputed public sector companies such as BHEL, DRDO, ISRO, NTPC, ONGC etc. You can get the information regarding the job openings from the notifications which get published in the official websites of the respective companies. The mode of selection will be through a written examination. Those who clear this round will need to attend the GD and personal Interview. Apart from this, you can also get in to government organizations by attending the UPSC and SSC exams. Through these exams, you can apply for jobs in defense sector, railways, civil services etc. You may also write different bank recruitment exams to get into banks. The application procedure for majority of the jobs will be via online mode.
