How does an optional subject affects the posting of an IAS officer?
Does the selection of a particular optional subject have any effect on the posting or working of an IAS officer? I am basically how far does the optional subject matter?

IAS cadre has same kind of work and it has nothing to do with your educational qualification. You will be trained according the kind of work you will do in future as an IAS officer after selection.
Therefore, optional subject is just a part of IAS exam and after selection, it will be useful for you during job, will depend on the situation. |
