How to get government job after completing B.A degree?


I want to ask tht,I am a student of B.A. part-2,nd I want to do government job,so plz tell me about it,My subjects are;general and literature english,philosophy,homescience.? What would be the minimum criteria asked for applying Government job? Can someone provide me the details for the same?

B.A. - Bachelor of Arts.

B.A. pass candidate can choose many reputed job profiles in various government departments.

A B.A candidate can apply for higher posts like Railway, Revenue department, Banking sector.

Some of the reputed post and departments with exams for a B.A. pass candidate are given below.

* SSC SI exam.
* UPSC CPO Assistant commandant exam.
* UPSC Indian police service.
* Revenue department.
* Indian Foreign Services.
* IBPS PO/ MT clerk posts.

As eligibility criteria for different post will differ. Although minimum criteria for any government job is a Graduation degree. Age limit will be specified as per the position we are applying to.

I am studying now B.A history in English medium. If I can choose cross Major degree (B.A Economics Tamil medium)am I eligible to have TNPSC government cotta 20% is it possible.
