I am a B.Com graduate and I just want to know that for applying in SSC Steno-Typist recruitment, how many words per minute is necessary for qualifying? Please let me know about this.

Typing Requirements for SSC Steno Typist Recruitment:

Basically there are two posts come under this recruitment. They are, Stenographer Grade D and Stenographer Grade C. Here are the typing requirements for both these posts.

Nature of Typing Test - Qualifying in Nature

>> You will be given a dictation which to be completed in 10 Minutes either in English or Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute for Grade C and 80 Words Per Minutes for Grade D. So the matter will be have to be transcribed on Computer Only.

>> Transcription or Writing Time:

For Grade D Posts : 10 Minutes at 80 word per minute
Transcription: 50 Minutes for English and 65 minutes for Hindi

For Grade C Posts : 10 Minutes at 100 word per minute
Transcription: 40 Minutes for English and 55 minutes for Hindi

Selection process and requirements for SSC Steno Typist recruitment :

>> You will have Typing test but you need to fulfill some requirements.

First Stage :

>> You are required to note down the paragraph which is dictated by Invigilator at a speed of "100 words per minute ".

Second Stage :

>> In next stage you are required to type the text which is written by at a speed of 40 min for English and 55 minutes for Hindi/
