Job application procedure for CA in Income Tax Department?


Hi,

I would like to know what are the job opporunities in Income Tax Department, for after completing CA ?
Also let me know the procedure for applying for the same??

To get recruitment into income tax department, the candidate need to crack the combined graduate level examination.

This examination is to recruit the candidates as :

* Income tax Inspector.

* Tax assistant.

* Executive assistant.

* Multi Tasking Staff (MSF).

ELIGIBILITY :

To write the examination the candidate need to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

* Candidates age should be between 18-27 years.

* Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ ST candidates.

* Candidates should have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognized University approved by UGC.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :

* Candidates who prefer to apply through offline should submit the form in the nearby Regional/ Sub Regional offices of Staff Selection Commission after paying Rs.100/- as Central Recruitment Fee stamps.

* Candidates who prefer to apply through online should complete the Registration I and Registration II process.

* After Registration I, the candidate need take the challan form and pay the fees through online mode.

* While doing Registration II, the candidate should fill the details of fee payment and should submit the forms.

Hello friends..............

In order to become Income Tax Officer, holding a bachelors degree or equivalent qualification is mandatory as per the guidelines of Staff Selection Commission.

The commission is responsible for conducting written examination for candidates willing to join Income Tax department as an officer.

The examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the same is known as Combined Graduate Level Examination.

Now, Integrated Professional Competence course is not considered equivalent to bachelors degree program.

So, if want to be considered eligible on the basis of chartered accountancy course, you will have to complete the course along with the necessary articled and other compulsory training prescribed by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Apart from that, to be eligible for the entrance examination, you will need to be within the age limit of 18-27 years.
