Opportunities for females in Air Force and Army field?

Female can get into Indian Army and Air Force through CDS exam.

CDS Exam stands for Combined Defence Services exam and it is conducted twice a year.
Candidate have to pass the the written exam and then appear in Interview. After passing Interview candidate have to go through medical test. medical test is the last stage of selection.

Age limit :
Indian Army : 19 to 24 years
Air Force : 19 to 23 years.

Education qualification :
Indian Army : Candidate must have passed graduation in any stream from recognised university.
Indian Air Force : Candidate must have passed graduation with Physics and mathematics from any recognised university.

Generally the female candidates have various entry schemes through which they can get into armed forces.

Some of the entry schemes are given below :


ARMY :

* UPSC entry scheme.

* NCC special entry.

* SSC Technical entry.

* JAG entry.

AIR FORCES :

* AFCAT entry.

* Technical branch.

* Flying branch.

Through these branches the candidates are selected for the following job roles :

* Military engineer services.

* Remount Veterinary corps.

* Medical corps.

* Nursing staff.

* Technical services.

Being a female the only way by which you can join Indian Defense is through CDS examination.

CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and one getting selected for the are provided with necessary training before their recruitment as officer in the Indian defense field. For joining the same one needs to clear CDS examination held twice every year by Union Public Service Commission in two phases which are known as Written examination and Service Selection Board interview respectively.

Also CDS has four wings which are as Naval Academy ( NA ), Indian Airforce Academy ( AFA ) , Indian Military Academy ( IMA )and Officer's Training Academy ( OTA ).

For appearing in this examination one needs to have the qualifications as following :-

* You must have the nationality of India.

* You must be physically and mentally fit as per the service requirement norms.

* Your age must be within 19 years to 22 years for NA, 19 years to 23 years for AFA, 19 years to 24 years for IMA and 19 years to 25 years for OTA.

* You also need to have a bachelor's degree with any discipline from a recognized university. But for NA & AFA, your degree must have any of Physics or Mathematics or Engineering courses as your main subject.

Yes, girls have so many opportunities in Indian Army and Airforce, they can join as officers through different entrance exams.

1. Combined defense services exam conducted by UPSC for which both unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply.

You should have done bachelor's degree in any discipline to be eligible for this exam. The age limit is 19-25 years.

Entrance exam consists of:

1. Written test.

2. Service Selection board.

Other than these girls who have done graduation in science can apply for the Air Force Common admission test for technical and flying branch. Other than science, can apply for the Ground duty branch. The age limit is 19-24 years.
