The share of India in global merchandise exports has increased from about 0.5 per cent in 1990 to 1.5 per cent in 2010.
India is the 20th largest exporter in the world with a share of 1.5 per cent. India’s share in global exports and imports also increased from 0.7 per cent and 0.8 per cent respectively in 2000 to 1.5 per cent and 2.2 per cent in 2010. Source : Economic survey 2010-11. |
