Profile:

Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) was established in July 1, 1916 by the Government of India under Ministry of Environment and Forests. The main idea behind the establishment of the company was to promote research of various aspects of the rich lifestyle of the erstwhile ‘British Indian Empire’. The efforts are being made towards the integrated approach to the zoological investigation.

Job Profile:

Canddiates can apply for the designation of Junior Reserach Fellows in the department of Zoological Survey of India. The candidates will be appointed for the period of only 2 years.

Eligibility:

28 years is the maximum age limit set for the interested candidates. Age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PH candidates and by 3years for OBC category candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess the second class Masters degree in Zoology from any UGC recognized University. NET or GATE qualified candidates will get preference over others.

No. of Posts: 20 in total are available for the designation of Zoological Survey of India.

Pay Scale: Rs. 12000/- per month is the prescribed salary set for the posts of Zoological Survey of India.

Selection Process:

Written test followed by Interview must be quailified by the candidates for getting their name enlist in the final selection for the posts.

How to apply: Application in the prescribed format should reach Director alongwith a demand draft of Rs.400/- (Rs.200/- for OBC and Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PH) drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, PAO (BSI/ZSI), Kolkata. The envelope containing form and the demand draft should be mailed by Speed Post only.
