Default Re: Procedure to become an Indian Postal Service Officer?

The recruitment of Indian Postal Services officers is done through exams like UPSC Civil Services exam. Therefore, you have to apply for Civil Services exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.

The basic qualification needed for Civil Services Exam is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University. The age limit for this exam is 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

1. SC/ST : 5 years relaxation
2. OBC : 3 years relaxation
3. PWD : 10 years relaxation

There is limit in attempts for General and OBC candidates with 4 and 7 attempts respectively. For SC/ST candidates there is no such limit.

The selection will be based on the performance in the CSAT, Mains and Interview. For more information visit http://upsc.gov.in
