I would like to know about the eligibility criteria as I am interested to apply in AFCAT-2018 for the post of Ground Staff. I would also like to know about the application procedure. Kindly tell me how to apply?

AFCAT refers to Air force Common Admission Test and for appearing in same examination for joining its ground duty branch you need to have following qualifications :-

* You must have the citizenship of India.

* Your age must lie within 20 years to 26 years.

* You must have either completed your bachelor degree course with at least 60% marks or pursuing the final year of same from a recognized university. Further, you must have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level academics.

* You must hold the physical and mental fitness as per the service requirements.

The acronym AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is conducted two times every year. In February, AFCAT I was conducted. Indian Air Force is yet to release notification for AFCAT II exam of 2018.

Eligibility criteria:

Academic qualification: Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Age criteria is 20-26 years.

There is written test followed by Service Selection board.

AFCAT examination is conducted for recruitment in Short Service Commission in Indian Air Force as an officer.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree or in the final year of course.

The age limit is 20-26 years.

Unmarried candidates are only eligible.

AFCAT stands for Air force Common Admission Test and as the name suggest same is a common test held for recruitment of personnel in flying branch, ground duty branch, and technical branch of Indian Air force.

--> The minimum eligibility criteria for joining ground duty branch through AFCAT are :-

* You must hold the nationality of India.

* Your age must lie within 20 years to 24 years.

* You must have completed your bachelor degree course in any discipline with at least 60% marks from a recognized university. But, you must have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level. Students pursuing final year of their bachelor degree course are also eligible.

As far as you are concerned about the selection procedure then it is a three step procedure and hence to get selected you need to qualify the written test followed by SSB interview and medical test at last.

Candidates those who have completed their Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University scoring a minimum of 60% of marks in it are eligible to apply for AFCAT examination 2018 Ground Duty.
