Qualification Required to apply for IAS Examination;

In order to join Indian Administrative Services, you are required to appear in an entrance examination called "Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)" which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

The basic educational qualification required to apply for IAS Examination is,

>> Candidates must have completed their Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

>> Candidates who are pursuing their final year are also eligible to apply for IAS Examination.

>> As you are presently pursuing 12th Class, I suggest you to concentrate well on those studies. After completion of 12th Class, you may pursue Bachelor's Degree in any stream in which you are most interested in. After completion of Bachelor's Degree, you can then start applying for this UPSC CSAT recruitment examination.

The educational qualification required to apply for IAS(Indian Administrative Services) exam is Bachelor degree or Graduation in any discipline from UGC approved college or university. As you are still in 12 th standard, first you have to complete your Graduation to apply for this examination. Age limit to apply for IAS exam is 21-32 years and age relaxations for reserved category candidates are as per UPSC regulations. And maximum number of attempts allowed for this exam are 4 times for General category, 7 times for OBC category & no limit for SC and ST category candidates. And the recruitment process of this IAS examination is preliminary exam, main exam and personal interview, medical fitness test. For any further information please visit www.upsc.gov.in.
