Hey friend,

IAS - Indian Administrative Service

This exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year for candidates to join in for the post of IAS Officer

Qualification Needed:

>> Nationality

>> Age Limit

>> Education Qualification


Nationality:

~ Candidate should be a citizen of India


Age Limit:

~ The age limit for the candidate of General Category is 21-30 years

~ The candidate who is SC/ST is 21-35 years

~ For OBC candidate is is 21-33 years

~ Ex-service men will get a exception of 5 years from the prescibed limits.


Education Qualification:

~ The candidate appearing for the exam must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

~ Even Final year candidate is eligible to apply for the IAS Exam

You need to satisfy all of the above criteira's in order to be eligible for applying for the IAS exam.

Selection Procedure:

>> Preliminary Exam

>> Main Exam

>> Interview

• A candidate who are waiting for their final Result OR say Final year students are also applicable.

Age Limit:

• General category student:- 21-30 years.
• OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years.
• SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years.

No. Of Attempt:

• General - max. 4
• OBC - max. 7.
• SC/ST - No limit.
