I am a student of B.Tech (mechanical) management from KIIT Bhubaneswar. To get govt. job can I apply for gate exam?

GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Yes, after completion of bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, you can apply for GATE exam for jobs in Public Sector Undertakings like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL etc.

Other than this, you can apply for following government job entrance exams:

>>Indian Engineering Services.

>>Civil Services examination.

>>Combined Defence Services exam.

>>Intelligence Bureau ACIO exam.

There are wide range of government job opportunities for the students who have completed their graduation in Mechanical Engineering stream.

Nowadays the Public sector undertaking (PSU's) companies are recruiting the candidates on the basis of GATE score.

Some of the PSU's which offer job through GATE exam are given below :

* IOCL.

* HAL.

* BSNL.
