how can we applied in indian airforce after b.tech?through which exams we apply in indian airforce.Is there any eligibility for 3rd year students to appear in entrance exam? when are the forms(for girls) available for entrance exam?and please tell me that what are the areas(for girls) in indian airforce for b.tech students?

After B.Tech. you can join Indian Air Force Technical Branch or Flying Branch.

Technical Branch

Aeronautical Engineering Electronics

For this, one should have at least eight in his/her curriculum subjects from the below listed
eighteen subjects.

Physics / Engineering Physics.
Mathematics / Engineering Mathematics.
Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing.
Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology.
Control Engineering.
Microprocessors.
Digital Electronics / Basic Electronics.
Computer Networks.
Information Technology.
Network Theory Design.
Telecommunication Systems.
Electronic Circuit Design.
Radar Theory.
Switching Theory.
Instrumentation.
Microwave Engineering.
Antenna and Wave Propagation.
Electronic Devices.

Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical

For this, one should have at least eight in his/her curriculum subjects from the below listed eighteen subjects.

Physics / Engineering Physics.
Engineering Maths / Mathematics.
Engineering Drawing / Graphics.
Automotive Engineering / Plant Engineering / Industrial Engineering.
Engineering Mechanics / Strength of Material.
Aerodynamics.
Thermodynamics and Applications / Heat Power Engineering.
Heat and Mass Transfer.
Theory of Machines (Kinematics and Dynamics of Machinery).
Fluid Mechanics / Turbo Machines.
Flight Mechanics.
Machine Drawing / Machine Design.
Mechatronics.
Material Science / Metallurgy.
Vibrations.
Workshop Technology / Manufacturing Technology / Production Engineering.
Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
Aircraft Structures.

Both the above 2 posts are under Permanent Commission for Men and Short Service
Commission for both Men & Women.

You can apply for this during final year of B.Tech. or after passing out.

You should have at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination (B.Tech.)

Age Limitation – 19 to 23 years (at the time of commencement of course)

Marital Status – Single

The notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test for these two course, is published generally in the month of June and December in Employment News and leading national dailies.

Flying Branch (SSC Entry)

B.Tech. is not compulsory for this entry scheme. Graduation in any stream but 60%
marks in 10+2 (with Maths & Physics) or BE / B Tech with 60% marks.

Other eligibility criteria and schedule of notification is same as that of Technical Branch.
