I am Kunal from Karnataka region. I have completed my graduation and aspiring to crack the Karnataka Administrative Service examination. So kindly tell me about the age criteria for the same?

Age Criteria Required for Karnataka Administrative Service Examination:

One of the eligibility you need to meet for appearing in Karnataka Administrative Service Examination is "Age Criteria". Here is the age criteria which is required for appearing in Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) Examination.

>> The minimum Age Required for KAS Exam - 21 years

>> Maximum Age must not exceed for KAS Exam - 35 years

Of course, there will be an age relaxation for reserved candidates as per government norms. Here is the age relaxation for several category candidates.

Age Relaxation of 3 years - For OBC Candidates
Age Relaxation of 5 years - For SC/ ST Candidates
Age Relaxation of 10 years - For Physically Handicapped / Ex-Servicemen Candidates

Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) exam is for selection of persons for services in administration of state.

The candidates should be over 21 years and the upper age limit is 35 years for Karnataka Administrative Service Examination. The upper age limit relaxed 5 for SC/ST candidates, for OBC 3 years, 10 years for physically handicapped and widows. The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from a recognized university. The website link is

Age Criteria for Karnataka Administrative Service :

Age of candidate must be from 21 to 35 years.

Relaxation is provided as follows :

• 5 years for SC/ST candidates
• 3 years for Other Backward category candidates
• 10 years relaxation for Physically handicapped or Widow candidates.

The age limit required to appear in Karnataka Administrative Services is 21-35 years. For OBC candidates, the maximum age limit is 38 years and for SC/ST candidates, the maximum age limit is 40 years. Candidates those who have completed Graduation course in any discipline from a recognised university are eligible to appear in Karnataka Administrative Services examination.
