BDO-BLOCK DEVELOPMENT OFFICER is an administrative post under State Govt. which is selected through Administrative Service examination conducted by State Public Service Commission.

The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years.

The selection is through written test followed by Personal Interview. The selected candidate for State Administrative Service will be appointed as B.D.O. first.

Name of Post : Block Development Officer

Scale of Pay : Rs.10790-18000


Age Limit : Must have completed 18 (eighteen) years of age and must not have completed 35 (thirtyfive) years of age as on 1..1..2007.
( for conditions regarding the age relaxations please see para (2) of the General Conditions)

Qualifications :- Graduation in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognized University.

Note: 1 Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of three years from the date on which he/she joins duty.
2 Any persons appointed to this post shall during the period of probation pass the Account Test for Executive officers or Account Test (Lower)

Application Form
The applications can be submitted by On-line facility provided in the Website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. Detailed instructions regarding the submission of applications are available in the Website of Kerala Public Service Commission viz., www.Keralapsc.org. No application fee is required. The barcode number in the application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/correspondence. Documents to prove qualification, age and community have to be produced as and when called for. Application which are not submitted in accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.
Candidates are allowed to submit the application either by online or in the conventional application form.

Last date of receipt of application :28-03-2007 Wednesday up to 5.00 P.M.

1. Minimum Educational Qualification :

Degree of any recognized university. However candidates studying in final year examination may apply for Preliminary. When he applies for Main Examination, he shall be a Graduate. But the following Engineering discipline are eligible :-

* Civil Engineering,
* Mechanical Engineering,
* Bio Technology,
* Electrical Engineering,
* Physics
* Chemistry
* Statics
* Geology etc.

For this you have to prepare right now.Here I have also mentioned about the age limit and number of attempts of the examination.

2. Age Limit :

* Minimum Age :- 21 as on 1st August during which they will write Exam.

* Maximum Age: 30 for GEN, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC.
