My age is 29. I am waiting for mechanic job in MTC. So, pls tell me BC and SC/ST caste Age limit in Tamil Nadu government MTC department? I just wanted to know the minimum eligibility criteria for the same to apply for the it. Looking forward to get the answer.

You are very certainly eligible to apply for MTC (Metropolitan Transport Corporation) Recruitment being a 29 years old candidate. The MTC Chennai Limited releases recruitment notification for filling up huge number of vacancies for several posts namely, Mechanic, Data Entry Operator, Superintendent, Office Assistant, Assistant, Accountant. The minimum age criteria required to be eligible for this MTC Recruitment is "18 years" and the maximum age must not exceed "35 years".

Age Criteria Required:

Lower age limit - 18 years

Upper age limit - 35 years

Note: There is an age relaxation for reserved candidates as given below as per the government (TamilNadu) rules.

For SC/ ST Candidates - 5 years relaxation - 40 years

For OBC Candidates - 3 years relaxation - 38 years

For General Candidates - No relaxation - 35 years

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed either Graduation or Bachelor Degree in any discipline (Or) Diploma in relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Yes dear you are eligible to apply for Tamilnadu MTC for different job post. But you have to fulfills the requirements of the different positions. And through MTC Recruitment you can apply for below job posts.

* Driver

* Assistant

* Steno Typist

* Office Assistant

* Accountant etc.,

And for Mechanic job post you have to fulfills the below requirements.

1.You should complete at least 12 th or diploma from the recognized university.

2.Age should be different for different categories.

Maximum limits for different category students :

--> General -- 35 years

--> OBC --- 40 years

--> SC/ST --- 45 years .

Educational qualification:-

Matriculation or Equivalent or ITI from recognized Boards.

Age criteria:-

18-27 years

Age relaxation is provided as per government rule.

I have attached a document where you can find out the details of Tamilnadu MTS exam so you can check it out.

Age limit required for government job in Tamil Nadu MTC are as follows:

> Lower Age Limit : 18 years

> Upper Age Limit : 27 years

There is however some age relaxation provided in case of SC/ST candidates, they are as follows:
