What are the benefits I can get if my father is an ex-servicemen?

Sir, my father is a retired BSF ex-servicemen in 2012. Now I have completed my 12th from CBSE board and want to go for higher studies in Maharashtra. Is there any advantage if my father is an ex-servicemen?

There are following benefits you can avail after being ward of Ex Serviceman:

1. There are certain seats reserved for candidates in central and state government medical, engineering colleges. There is special quota seats for wards of Ex Servicemen.

2. Age limit is relaxed by certain years.

3. Cut off marks are generally less for these candidates.

In ex servicemen category, there are also certain category like servicemen killed in war, physically disabled etc, priorities is given to war widows ward etc.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
