Sir, I am serving in Indian army. After this i am looking forward to join Chandigarh police. So please tell me about the quota of ex-serviceman in chandigarh police?

Several Ex-servicemen have expressed interest in serving their city by joining the police force after completion of their term with the Indian army. To accommodate them, the Chandigarh Police has announced a reserved category for Ex-Servicemen in the recruitment process.
The details of reserved quota for Ex-Servicemen are given below:

1. Total 10% of seats or vacancies announced for recruitment will be reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

2. The age limit for Ex-servicemen has also been relaxed to maximum of 45 years, provided the break in service does not exceed 2 years from date of discharge from army.

The Ex Servicemen quota in Chandigarh Police recruitment is given below:

In General Category – 106 Male – 143 Female – 37 Ex Servicemen
In OBC – 52 Male – 70 Female – 18 Ex Servicemen
In SC – 35 Male – 47 Female – 12 Ex Servicemen

Sir,I am serving in Indian Army .I am from U.P. Next year I will complete 5 years in Militry. Next year I leave this Job with ex serviceman certificate due to home affair. Can I apply for the post of SI in CHD Police based on ex-serviceman.
