If you want to do jobs in government bank, you will have to clear the entrance test conducted which consists of written test, interview and sometimes group discussion also.

Bank conducts entrance examinations for post of clerk, probationary officer etc. Bachelor's degree is the minimum academic qualification required to apply for the exam. IBPS stands for the Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection, it conducts common written exam for the post of clerk and probationary officers for more than twenty nationalized banks.

State Bank of India conducts its own entrance examination for post of clerk and probationary officer. Once you complete your bachelor's degree, you can apply for the entrance exams mentioned above.

As at present, you are in first year of bachelor's degree, you are not eligible for the banking exams. You have two more years, you can work hard to prepare yourself for the exams. Questions are generally from following sectors:

>>General Intelligence and Reasoning.

>>Quantitative Aptitude.

>>English

>>General awareness including computer awareness.
