Can I appear in Civil Services examination after completing B.Sc(Statistics)? Courses to study after completing B.Sc(Statistics)?


Hello,
I am doing B.Sc in Statistics from Lady Shri Ram College.
What are the courses I can opt for after doing this?
Also I wish to give Civil Services examination.
After this is that possible?

Yes , it is possible to appear for the Civil services , after completion of your B.sc.

~ Civil services exam will conducts by Union public service commission.

Eligiblity criteria of civil services exam :-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. The candidate shouldhave completed Graduation in any descipline from a recognised university.

2. For General category candidates , age should be in between 21-30 years only.

3. For OBC Category candidates , age shouldbe in between 21-33 years.

4. For SC , ST category candidates , age shouldbe in between 21-35 years only.

5. The candidate shouldbe a citizen of INDIA.



Selection process :-

Yes of course, you are absolutely eligible to apply for Civil Service Examination after completing B.Sc (Statistics). Basic Educational Qualification to apply for this examination the candidate should have completed degree course from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. The candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also apply. Candidate age should be between 21 years and 32 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. Upper age limits are applicable for this examination.

Civil Service Examination notification is not yet released. But, you can expect the notification in the month of June / July in the official website of UPSC as well as employment newspaper.

You can opt any two subjects for Civil Services Main Exam:

Yes, you can appear in Civil Services Examination after completion of B.Sc (Statistics) which is a graduate degree. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) or Civil Services Examination is "Graduation" or any Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates who are pursuing their final year are also eligible to appear in Civil Services Examination. Since you are still pursuing B.Sc in Statistics from Lady Shri Ram College, you can apply for Civil Services Examination after completion of the course.

According to the eligibility criteria released by the UPSC :

* The candidate should be a citizen of India.

* The candidate should have completed graduation through any stream under the scheme of 10+2+3 at least form a recognized university.

* The candidate should be of 21 years at least at the time of application.

* The candidate should be physically and medically fit.

So, no matter which graduation degree you pursue, you will be eligible for the CSE.
