I am doing Bachelor of Audiology Speech Language Pathology. I am a 3rd year student. I just want to know that after completing BASLP Degree can I write Doctor before my name?

No, you are just a therapist not a doctor. You can't write doctor in front of your name. If you had any degree related to alternative medicine then you would have been eligible for it.

If you are having a doctorate degree in same field, then you will be eligible for it. Generally, those who have exceptional experience in the given field along with a doctorate degree, are eligible to write "Dr." in front of them.

The biggest fact is, a speech therapist can't become a general physician. A prefix before your name will only serve as a showoff in public gathering.

Those who write doctor have a Ph.D degree too. Writing doctor in front of your name would not make you a general physician. Audiologists and speech therapists are can't write doctor in front of their name, if they don't have a doctorate qualification.

There is a lot of difference between a general physician and a therapist. If writing "Dr." in front of your name will make you a general physician, then you are living on a fool's paradise.

No you can't write infront of name Doctor, Only MBBS, MS IN ENT Specialist can write..
BASLP is a Technician course not medical Physician Doctor level course.. Please before doing anything else take full knowledge then u take admission BASLP is very Good course but is a technical course even u can not write Audiologist also

BASLP course is not a technician courses i repeat it%u2019s not a technician course it%u2019s a Rehabilitation course approved by RCI( Rehabilitation Council OF India). And yes person can put Dr. prefix once they have Done Doctorate Course also P.G program are available after B.ASLP like A.U.D and Audiologists are also known to be as Doctor of hearing. So with less information don%u2019t give false information. Also specific certification and registration is available to put Dr. Prefix after B.ASLP search more regarding you will find more information about it. Lastly why would you Need Dr. Prefix be proud of your Identity and your profession it%u2019s always quality over quantity, IAS officer and Medical profession are proud of who they are not Anyone who claims Dr. Are not GOD or superior they are human as well and even Medical professionals even Experienced surgeons does mistakes, so they are equal.
