Last years closing ranks will give me
as well as other parents to have some
idea of the scenario.

I am afraid your daughter is not eligible for admission to VIT. VIT calls in students with ranks between 1 and 20,000 for counseling.
VIT Vellore has 3600 seats and VIT Chennai has 1120 seats.
So unless the rank is below 20,000 your child will not be eligible.
