Eligibility to get admission in B.V.Sc for an SC category student?
I have completed my 12th with PCM group and have scored 50% marks in it. I further want to become a Veterinarian Doctor. I, therefore want to know about the eligibility to get admission in B.V.Sc course. I also belong to SC category of candidate. So, kindly provide the details soon.

To be eligible to get admission in B.V.Sc course being an SC category candidate, you must have passed 12th standard with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects with minimum aggregate of 40% marks from a recognised board. Some colleges offer admission by considering the candidate's 12th standard board examination marks and few colleges also conducts an entrance examination for offering admission in B.V.Sc course.

B.V.Sc stands for Bachelor of Veterinary Science. It is an Undergraduate degree course which mainly deals with the branch of science dealing with all types of animals. The duration of this course is 5 years.
To be eligible to pursue B.V.Sc course, you must have passed Intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a Government recognised university. Being a SC category candidate, you are eligible to do B.V.Sc course after completion of your Intermediate or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 40% marks from a Government recognised board. Admission process for B.V.Sc courses varies from college to college. Admissions in B.V.Sc course are offered on the basis of entrance examination and 12th standard final examination marks by most of the college. So, you need to appear, qualify and secure top rank in the entrance examination to get admission in B.V.Sc course in top colleges. |

Bachelor of veterinary science (B.V.Sc) is an undergraduate veterinary course with duration of 4 1/2 years.
The minimum eligibility criteria required to pursue B.V.Sc is that the candidate must have passed class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects from a recognized board of education. The candidate must have secured above 50% marks in aggregate to apply for B.V.Sc course. For SC/ ST category candidates a concession of 10% is be given. For SC/ ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 40% in aggregate. |
