As far as my best knowledge is concerned, you are required to have good score in JEE Examination in order to get admission in Indian Institute of Technology. 12th Class marks are likely to be scrapped or discontinued in order to get admission in IITs or NITs.

So I suggest you to score well in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced Examination's in order to get admission in top IITs. Almost all IITs consider these JEE Advanced score and not SEEE score. So I can say that this SEEE score will not be useful for getting admission into Chemical Engineering course. Some of the top institutes that consider this JEE Score are,

>> IIT Indore

>> IIT Bombay

>> IIT Delhi

>> IIT Hyderabad

>> IIT Madras

>> IIT Kanpur
http://iitk.ac.in/

>> IIT Kharagpur

>> IIT Roorkee..etc.,

It will be very difficult to say that how much you should score in SEEE or JEE to get admission in IIT for chemical engineering, because, the admission depends upon the cut off marks and which is set the IIT colleges itself. The cut off marks changes every year in every institute and the major factors which makes them fluctuate every year are:

> The number of students appearing for the examination.

> The difficulty level of the examination.

> The number of seats available in the college.

So, if you can achieve the cut off marks of IIT then you can definitely get admission to pursue chemical engineering.

IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology and it is a premier institute for technical courses.

The admission in course is offered on the basis of score in JEE examination. JEE examination is conducted by CBSE and IIT.

So,you have to appear and qualify in JEE examination for admission in IIT in chemical engineering course.

For more information about examination visit at www.jeemain.nic.in.

In order to be eligible to pursue Chemical Engineering through IITs, you must have to complete your class 12th from Science studying PCM as a subject combination from a recognised Board with a minimum of 75% of marks in it. If you succeed to score above 75% of marks of marks, then you will be eligible for IIT JEE examination.
In order to get admission in IITs, you must have to qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced. SEEE examination would not be sufficient to get admission in IITs.
