Dear friend, every branch of engg. is good. It all depends on your interest. If you are interested in chemical engg, you should take it. Its future is very good. We use chemicals in everything. There are many big companies like cadbury which require chemical engineers. So go with it.

dear if you are very much interested in chemical engineering the i can definatly say you will not face any problem in the labs as you are inetersted in chemistry then it is also sure that your chemistry part is also good.
but one thing i want tell you that the scope of chemical engineering is not very much in PSU's there is small companies which provide jobs for the chemical engineering students at low salary.so the better you should make your self for the PSU's which provide high salary and more facilities. so the machenical, electrical, civil engineering has the great scope in future for the PSU's ok good luck |

Re: Which is the best course in engineering? What is the future of Chemical Engineering?
All branches of engineering are tough. If you study, everything becomes easy. I am a chemical engineer and I am working in a refinery in India. Chemical engineers are highly paid. The only problem is lesser amount of jobs. You have to be the best to get a job. If you can't find a job, then it may take a while for you to get absorbed. But in case you get placed after graduation, you will get a decent salary. The entry level salary in OIL PSUs is approx Rs 50000 per month (in hand) . No IT company will provide you with so much money. And if you are confident of yourself, try for doing MS or Phd in the US. There are a hell lot of opportunities in US for chemical engineers.
