Those candidates who have completed their 10+2 from a recognized Board in the country are eligible for BITSAT exam. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 75% in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Candidates must be proficient in English also.

Following are qualification for BITSAT exam:

You must have passed 12th standard under 10+2 system from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent.

You must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th to be eligible for BITSAT 2015.

You must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in Physcis, Chemistry and Mathematics.

You should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in each subject.

You must be proficient in English.

The minimum educational qualification required to apply for BITSAT examination is completion of 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of 75% marks with Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects from a recognised board. The cutoff marks required to qualify in BITSAT examination varies every year based on the level (toughness) of examination question paper.

Educational Qualification Required to apply for BITSAT Exam:

>> The minimum Educational Qualification required to appear in BITSAT Entrance Examination is "12th Class" from a recognized university.

>> Candidates must have pursued 12th Class with Physics and Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in order to be eligible for BITSAT Exam.

>> Candidates must have scored minimum of 75% marks in 12th Class and scored minimum 60% marks in each of the subjects.

>> For Instance, Candidates who have passed their 12th Class in 2013 or before are not eligible to appear in BITSAT 2015 Examination.

BITSAT Cutoff Marks:

Generally the BITSAT Examination cutoff marks varies with the BITSAT campus. Yes, BITSAT Cutoff marks are different for programs at Hyderabad Campus, Pilani Campus and Goa Campus. Cutoff generally in between 290 to 310 and varies with the stream or branch. I suggest you to score more than 310 marks to be in safe side and cutoff for Computer Science and Electrical and Electronics streams is high when compared to other streams.

Eligibility Criteria:

Birla Institute of Technology and Science has regularized several eligibility criteria for those candidates, who are applying to appear in the admission test. The eligibility criteria are given below.


> Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Board or its equivalent with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

> Candidate should have obtained minimum 80% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together in qualifying examination and at least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

> The first rank students having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 system / its equivalent from all central and state boards are directly selected irrespective of their BITSAT score.

> The students, who are appearing in 12th examination in the current year or who have passed in previous year only, are eligible to appear in BITSAT exam.

> The students, who have passed 12th examination year before previous year or earlier, are not eligible to apply.

> The students, who are presently studying at any of the BITS campuses, are not eligible to appear in BITSAT.

The eligibility criteria for BITSAT are as follows.

-Candidate must have completed his/her 12th standard from State Board or Central Board.
-Candidate must have completed his/her 12th standard with Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry main subjects,
-Candidate must have scored minimum of 75% of marks in 12th standard with not less than 60% marks in each subject.

These are the requirements for BITSAT so if you meet with the requirements then you are eligible to give the exam.

The cutoff for this exam will very year to year and branch to branch depending on the merit list.

The optimum cutoff for BITSAT for all courses is 360 marks.If you attain these marks then you will be in safe zone.
