How to calculate age limit, if my date of birth is 09/01/1983. Till which year I can join LLB?

If you are interested in LLB then here is the age limit criteria for LLB:-

The age of the candidate must be within 20 years to 25 years.

SC / ST will get 24 years of age relaxation.

OBC candidate will get 1 years of age relaxation.

There is no upper age limit prescribed for admission in LLB COURSE. So, you can do LLB when you wish.

LLB stands for Bachelor of legislative Law. LLB is a bachelor's degree law course which deals with the various aspects of Law and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) with specialization in civil or criminal law stream. One requires to have LLB degree for practicing in the legal profession. The duration for LLB course is 3 years . Admission to LLB course is based on the merit list of CLAT exam or the entrance examination conducted by the concerned institute.

The eligibility criteria required to get admission in LLB degree are as under :-

-The candidate must have completed graduation with at least 55% marks (40% for reserved category) in any discipline from a recognized university.

-There is no restriction on upper age-limit for admission. However, a candidate must have completed at least 17 years of age on the date of application.

If you want to do LLB course after graduation, then your age should be below 30 years according to CLAT eligibility criteria. If you are looking for admission after class 12th, then age should be below 21 years.

Admission will be based on performance in the entrance exam conducted by the concerned university. You can apply for CLAT, which is the best option for you.

As per the BCI (Bar Council of India) there is no such limit to get admission in law courses. But before this, the age limit for the general candidates to pursue LLB course was 30 years and for the reserved candidates it was 35 years.

But now the rules have changed, BCI has decided that there shouldn't be any age obligations regarding the admission in law courses.

As your date of birth is 09/01/1983, so you are free to take admission in colleges/universities to pursue LLB course and there is no age limit for that.

The eligibility criteria for LLB is as follows :

* The candidate must have completed his education from a recognized university under the scheme of 10+2+3 at least.

* The candidate must have possessed at least 50% marks in the graduation.

* The candidate must have attained an age of 21 years at the time of admission.

If you fulfill the above said criteria then you can definitely go for LLB. There is no upper age limit for the LLB.

LLB course doesn't require any percentage marks.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with 50% marks from a recognized board are eligible for LLB course.

LLB course is conducted through CLAT entrance exam.

There is no age limit for the course of LLB as the Bar Council of India has withdrawn the respective age restriction to take admission in Law courses. The candidates are allowed to take admission without any age limit in different Colleges/ Universities.

There is no such age limit fixed for LLB course in India. So, don't worry about the age limit. Those who satisfy the educational qualification are eligible to apply for LLB course.

Eligibility Criteria:

- The candidate must complete Graduation or its equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university.

- The candidate must appear and qualify in the CLAT entrance exam with good marks.

The LLB Degree Program is a Three Years Course.For admission in LLB 3 year course you have to passed graduation in any stream from any well recognized university and you must obtained minimum 45% marks in graduation.

Age limits:-


**The minimum age limit:-21 year

**The maximum age limit to pursue LLB:-30 years for candidates belonging to General Category.

32 years for candidates belonging to Sc/St Category.
