What is the percentage criteria required to become IAS?


What is the percentage criteria required to become IAS? Can someone please let me know the minimum marks criteria required? It will be really helpful if you can answer me soon on this as I need to prepare myself accordingly. Thanks!

One who wishes to become an IAS officer has to appear in the Civil Services Exam. UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts civil services exam to make recruitment for the posts like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS .

There is no percentage bar for the marks secured in Graduation degree to appear for the civil services exam.

The eligibility criteria to appear in the Civil Services exam are as under :-

-The candidate must be an Indian .

-The candidate must have passed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

-The candidate who are in the final year of their degree can also appear for Preliminary exam .

-The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 32 years . The upper age limit is relaxed for OBC candidate by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates .

The exam process involves of

*Preliminary Exam

*Main exam

*Personality Interview.

No percentage criteria in Graduation is required to become an IAS. To become an IAS, you must have to appear in IAS examination which is conducted by UPSC every year and the required eligibility criteria is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have obtained a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

3. You must be in between 21-30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

Selection Procedure :-
1. Written Test
2. Personal Interview

I.A.S stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become an I.A.S Officer you have to qualify in Civil Services examination.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed graduation from recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit of reserved category.

There is no limitation on discipline and aggregate of graduation to appear for examination. The examination is conducted in three stages and it is necessary to qualify in all stages for final selection.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. You must apply for Civil Services examination if you want to become IAS officer and crack all the stages of this exam.

Eligibility criteria for this exam:

>>Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for this exam.

Candidates must have passed graduation that is you can apply for the exam with passing percentage of marks also.

>>The age limit for exam is 21-32 years. Upper age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates is given three years and five years respectively.

From 2015 CSAT is made qualifying and selection of candidates will be based on General Studies paper marks for mains exam.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Civil Services exam every year for the recruitment of IAS, IPS officer and different other posts.

Following are the eligibility criteria for the exam:

Educational qualification: Student must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university. Final year students can also apply. It does not matter how much percent you secure in the graduation degree.

Age Limit: 21 to 32 years. Relaxation will be given to reserved category students.
