Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th standard for IAS examination?
There is no marks restriction for IAS.
Wheather, you score 40% or 90% in class 12 or Bachelor Degree or Master Degree or P.hd that does’nt matters. Educational eligibility criteria is that candidate must have only passed Graduation in any field from any recognised institute, university of India. And nothing else. However, it is fact that priyority will given to candidates with good academic background, but thats a different matter. Becoming IAS officer is directly proportional to Hard work and Talent. IF anybody have that two qualities then surely he will achieve success. |

Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th standard for IAS examination?
Dear Friend,
IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Services . The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission . The Civil Services Examination is considered as one of the toughest examinations in India. More than 10 lakh candidates appear in this examination and only 300 are selected. Also , The Union Public Service Commission has set some strict eligibility criteria for this examination. These are : * you must have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized college/university. * If you are in final year of your graduation . you can also apply. * your age should lie in between 21-30 years if you belong to General Category. * There is a relaxation of 3 years for those belonging to OBC Category and of 5 years for those belonging to SC/ST Category. * Nationality : Indian. So from the above mentioned , you can see that there is no any need of 12th standard marks for the IAS Civil Services Examination. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th standard for IAS examination?
The percentage of 12th has nothing to do with the IAS examination. The minimum qualification required is graduate in any discipline. But try to make your 12th score as high as you can because it will definitely help you in the future.
