There is No Minimum Percentage is Required for IAS examination.

To Become a IAS Officer You need to Purse a Graduate Degree Course Because after 12Th examination, You are Not Eligible for IAS examination.

To Become a IAS Officer, You need To complete your Graduation Course Because Graduation Is the Minimum Eligibility To apply for IAS examination. For IAS, You have to appear for UPSC Civil services examination and The Examination was held in 2 stages - Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

The UPSC Conducts this examination 2 times in a year And the Notification was Published in the employment Newspaper OR In the Official website of UPSC, The Notification generally published in the month of February.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services Examination -

- To become IAS Officer, You need to Purse a graduate degree course from a recognized University.

- Your age should Between 21 To 30 Years.

- The Upper age Relaxation is applicable for SC, ST and OBC Candidates.


The SC, ST Candidates will gets 5 Year Relaxation and 3 Year will be applicable for OBC Candidates.

The General Candidates will get 4 Attempts to clear this examination and 7 For OBC Candidates and No limits for SC, ST Candidates.

for the IAS exam they are requiring minimum 40% as overall percentage...so dont bother about the percentage and next is maximum age for sc is 35yrs and for other community is 33yrs...

There is no such % criteria to give the IAS exam.

The qualifications for the IAS exam is as follows:-

--> A candidate must possess a graduate degree.

--> Should be within 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST.

--> In case of no. of attempts , general get 4 , SC/ST get unlimited while the OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

their is no limit of %age in +2 exams to ias examination
Age Criteria;
your age must be b/w 21 to 30
but their is a relaxation for st and sc candidate for 5 years

You need to be a pass in 12th.
The main requirement is a Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

to write IAS exam you need to have completed at least your bachelor degree as you have just completed your +2 . you need to apply for your graduation and after completion of course or in final year only you are eligible

There is no marks restriction for IAS.
Wheather, you score 40% or 90% in class 12 or Bachelor Degree or Master Degree or P.hd that does’nt matters.
Educational eligibility criteria is that candidate must have only passed Graduation in any field from any recognised institute, university of India.
And nothing else.
However, it is fact that priyority will given to candidates with good academic background, but thats a different matter. Becoming IAS officer is directly proportional to Hard work and Talent.
IF anybody have that two qualities then surely he will achieve success.

The selection of the IAS officer is done through the Civil Service Examination conducted by the UPSC.

Pass percentage is sufficient to appear Indian Administration Service exam,but 12th qualification is not enough to appear for this exam.At least graduation degree should be their to appear for this exam.This exam is conducted UPSC every once.

There is no specific criteria regarding the percentage required, But, to go for IAS, you should be a graduate of any stream from a recognized university. The age required is min.21 and max.30.

union public service commission conducts exam for admitting the aspirants to the various administrative service namely IAS, ips, IES.
The eligibility required for appearing in the exam involves
1. Bachelor degree from a recognised university. The degree course can be either three or four years
2. There is no minimum percentage required in the 12th standard.
3. The minimum age required for applying in the exam is 21.
4. The aspirant can apply upto a age of 30. The age is relaxed to 33 years for bc and mbc aspirant. For sc and st aspirant the maximum age is 35.
The aspirant are restricted in the number of attempt with maximum of 4 for general aspirant, 7 attempt for bc and mbc aspirant. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for sc and st aspirants.
So you need to complete your degree course in order to apply for the exam.
