What is the scope of doing BDS course in Nepal?
How many seat available for bds in nepal in both iom and moe?.
Which is better bds or mbbs in nepal.? Can bds doctor have bright future in nepal. |

Scope of BDS Course: Basically completing BDS course, you may have the two options working or prepare for the PG entrance exams. You can apply for Master degree like, -MDS (Masters of Dental Surgery) -Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Dentistry You can find job opportunities in Hospitals, Public Health Centers, Community Health Centers, Educational Institutions etc. If you are interested to get Government jobs then you can appear in UPSC entrance exam or Forensic Department. |

BDS is a Bachelor of Dental Surgery which is of three years divided into six semesters.
ELIGIBILITY : * Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks are eligible for admission in BDS course. CAREER OPTIONS : * Excellent job opportunities are available for dentists in Hospitals, Nursing homes, Dental clinics and health departments as well as teaching departments in Dental colleges. * They could also work in Research and Advisory functions of Pharmaceutical and other companies producing oral care products and medicines like toothpaste, mouth wash etc. * Self employment is also a promising avenue. * For best financial prospects and greater independence, Many dentists prefer to be in private practice. * In Dentistry one can also take up work as Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant or Dental consultant for the models and film artists which can fetch a lot of money. * Dental surgeons can earn more money by their practice. The consultation charges could be Rs.500 upwards for cosmetic filling and can be as high as Rs.40,000 to 50,000 depending on the type of problem the patient is undergoing. |
