Default Re: What does the company seek in chemical engineer Job aspirants?

This is a very good question since the modern day scenario has changed completely. The competition level has increased a lot and the demand of companies as well. Now more stress is given on versatility and communication along with aptitude skills. Gone are those days, when percentage in the main course would be the prime criteria during recruitment. Now percentage criteria is basically used as a eligibility criteria during recruitment and moreover in engineering courses, they do not serve much purpose provided you have more than 6.5 CGPA.

The companies look for following skills and abilities in aspirants.
- Communication skills
- Confidence
- Fundamental Knowledge
- Extra activities apart from main course like training and short term courses
- Work experience in professional scenario

The work given can vary company to company and it is not a compulsion that you will get job as per your branch of engineering. Even a chemical engineer might have to do computer related work. However, training is given before that to the concerned students.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
