I have completed M.sc(physics) in kuvempu university.

You have completed M.Sc degree in physics subject from kuvempu university in distance mode. If your university is recognized then you are eligible for UGC NET exam.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidate who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55%and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its hold 50% above in masters degree.

Age criteria for NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria.

If you have completed your M.Sc Physics with at least 55% marks from a recognized distance education University, then surely you can apply for CSIR NET. Those who belong to reserved category can get 5% relaxation in marks.

You are eligible for CSIR NET Physical Sciences subjects. Don't apply for UGC NET because there is no subjects related to Physics in it. You are only eligible for CSIR NET.

Distance course if pursued from a recognized distance University in India is definitely sufficient to make you eligible for CSIR NET. Therefore, don't worry about the eligibility criteria and concentrate on your preparation.
