Is it better to do M.Tech and then Ph.D after M.Sc Information Technology? Will I have to sit in GATE or NET for it?


Hello sir, I am studying in M.Sc Information Technology and want to know whether it will be better to do M.Tech and then Ph.D? Will I have to sit in GATE or NET for it?

You can apply for Ph.D admission based on your M.Sc degree too. There is no need to crack NET or GATE or even M.Tech, if you want to pursue Ph.D.

Those who have NET/GATE score are preferred by top universities for Ph.D admission in India. M.Tech is for those who want to pursue Ph.D in any engineering stream.
