For ICAR Ph.D entrance exam you must have a M.Sc/M.Tech degree in Agricultural Sciences. You must have at least 55% marks in your Master's degree from a recognized University. There is relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates.

The entrance exam will have following papers.

1. Part I (General Agriculture)

2. Part II & III (Subject Paper)

The merit will be prepared on the basis of following formula for Ph.D admission.

Written entrance examination (70% weightage) + academic score (20% weightage) + interview (10% weightage).
