Eligibility and selection procedure to get admission in PhD at St. Xavier College Mumbai? How selection is done for admission?
I have done M.SC in Organic Chemistry and now want to do PhD from St. Xavier College Mumbai. Please send me eligibility to get admission? How they select for admission?

Eligibility Criteria Required to get admission in PhD at St.Xavier's College, Mumbai:
There is a certain educational qualification required to be eligible for doing PhD in St.Xavier's College, Mumbai. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible is "Master's Degree" or Post Graduation in concerned discipline from a recognized university. You must have secured minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination i.e., in Post Graduation in order to be eligible. The selection process consists of Written Test followed by Personal Interview that is conducted by St.Xavier College, Mumbai. >> You are required to appear in PET (PhD Entrance Test) in order to be eligible for getting admission into PhD course. >> After successful qualifying in written examination, you will be called for Interview that is conducted by St.Xavier College. Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it are eligible to opt for the Ph.D course in the relevant field at St. Xavier College in Mumbai.
Now, to get admission, candidates must have to appear and qualify in the NET examination. Once they qualify in the said examination, they can get admission in the said College to pursue Ph.D course as per the marks scored in the NET examination. Admission is based on the merit marks scored in the examination. |

Eligibility Criteria: A candidate who have completed masters degree in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry with a minimum aggregate marks of 55% from a recognized university.Also candidate need to appear and qualify in UGC-NET entrance examination in order to be admitted for the PhD program in the respective subject/branch.
