Possibility to do Ph.D directly after M.Tech in Electrical engineering without CSIR SRF/ NET exam?


Sir, I am studying in M.Tech in Electrical engineering from IIT, Patna and want to do Ph.D in the same stream. Can I do Ph.D directly after M.Tech or I have to do CSIR SRF/ NET exam?

Yes, you can apply for Ph.D admission without CSIR NET, but at reputed universities or institutes only merit can get you admission. Hence, having these scores helps a lot.

Without the scores, it will be difficult to get admission at any reputed institute or university and you may end up getting admission at a low ranked university or institute.
