Possibility to get admission in IIT colleges for M.Tech or Ph.D having 490 marks in GATE?


Hello Sir, I have appeared in GATE and get 490 marks, my rank is 4400 with Mechanical branch. I would like to know whether it is possible to get admission in any IITs to study M.Tech or Ph.D course with this mark. If it is not possible then can I get admission in M.Tech from NIT Trichy, NIT Calicut and NIT Warangal?

You can surely apply for Ph.D admission at IITs with the help of GATE score but selection will be on the basis of performance in interview stage.

Therefore, selection will be on the basis of GATE score and interview which will be conducted by the institute. Hence, just be prepared for it.
