Is it possible to do PHD through distance universities?
specially from Indira Gandhi National Open University??
if possible then how much it is valuable for getting job as it is done through distance???

Yes, IGNOU offers Ph.D admission in various discipline through their own entrance exam. Those who have qualified NET/SET/GATE are exempted from entrance exam.

Normally, a distance mode Ph.D is good for those who are professionals or don't have time for regular courses. If you have time for regular course then it will be better to avoid distance mode programme.

You can do Ph.D course through distance mode from IGNOU.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university with above 55% marks are eligible for Ph.D course.

There are no age criteria for Ph.D course, but you must have valid UGC NET score card.

Yes, it is possible to do PhD through distance education in IGNOU. The eligibility to study PhD in IGNOU is a pass in Master’s Degree in relevant subject with 55% marks and 5 years of teaching experience or an M.Phil Degree and a Postgraduate Degree with 55% marks from a recognized university. The PhD course is available in distance mode in IGNOU. The duration of the course is 2 years. There will be an entrance examination for the admission to the course. The website link is Click Here.
