Procedure to get admission in Ph.D at IGNOU after completing MA in Sociology? Is IGNOU best option for Ph.D?
Respected Sir, I have completed my MA in Sociology scoring 655 marks from IGNOU last year. Now I want to pursue Ph.D from IGNOU? How to get admission? Is this good option for Ph.D?

After completion of your post graduation with 55% or above marks you can give UGC NET exam. After qualifying in this exam you don't have to give any other entrance exam conducted by the university itself.
IGNOU is a well recognized university in all over the world so definitely it's a good decision to pursue PhD from IGNOU. Thanks |

I am a senior citizen having 38 years industrial and academic experience. I have recently completed MA in sociology from IGNOU with more than 55% marks. My age does not permit to sit for UGC NET. My earlier grad/PG in Science, Engg, Comp Sc and Mgmt from premier institutes. Can I pursue Ph D in Sociology from IGNOU ?
