I have completed 1st year of MA Geography and now want to know about procedure to get admission in PhD at University of Allahabad. Please send me procedure?

In order to pursue PhD Geography, you must complete your master's degree in geography with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. Allahbad University conduct their own entrance examination to select the eligible candidates. UGC-NET/JRF/GATE qualified candidates need not to appear for the examination and can directly appear for the interview. You can visit their campus and get the application form. After qualifying the examination or interview, you can submit the required documents and fees in order to get admission.

Procedure to get admission in PhD in Geography at University of Allahabad:

In order to get admission in this University of Allahabad for doing doctoral program, you are required to follow the below mentioned steps.

>> To pursue Doctoral Program, you need to appear in CRET Entrance Examination which is conducted by this university.

>> Or else you must have cleared any one of the following entrance examinations and they may include CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ GATE..etc.,

>> You are required to apply online for doing this program and applications forms will be available in the month of March every year. And last date for receiving applications would be in the month of April.

Those candidates, who have completed masters degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university, are eligible to apply for PhD course in the relevant discipline.
Allahabad University conducts Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) for Doctoral level programs (PhD) every year. So, eligible candidates have to appear and qualify in the aforementioned examination to get admission in Allahabad University for PhD course in the relevant discipline. So, you need to apply for CRET exam when there is a notification for it or else you can also appear and qualify in UGC NET exam in order to get exempted from CRET exam.

Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree in Geography from a recognized University scoring a minimum of 55% of marks in it can apply for Ph.D course in Geography at University of Allahabad. Now, eligible candidates those who have completed their Masters degree, have to appear in the NET examination. Once after qualifying in the NET examination, candidates can take admission in University of Allahabad to pursue the Ph.D course in Geography.
