Is SET/NET essential for lecturership?


Hi,

I am doing MBA in Marketing. Right now i am doing lecturership at MGT institute. Please guide me. Is SET/NET essential for Lecturership?

You are doing MBA in Marketing and also you are doing lectureship post at MGT institute. But if you can apply any government college, you must have valid NET/SET score.

The educational qualification required for NET/SET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET/SET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET/SET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

Yes, you will have to appear for UGC-NET examination in order to be eligible for Lecturership and also would have to have a good score card in it to avoid future problems.
