In India the minimum requirement for Ph.D admission is a Master's degree with at least 55% marks. If you have this much marks then you will be eligible for admission in a Ph.D program. Most of the top Universities offer admission on the basis of NET/SLET/JRF, therefore, you must try you best to clear any of these exams for getting admission in a top University.

Admission will be based on the score you have got in NET/SLET/JRF or entrance exam with the performance in the personal interview. If you have good score then you will be enrolled for the Ph.D program. Then you have to carry on you research work according to the University guidelines.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
