The Candidates who have completed their Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution under UGC course with 55% of marks in it are only eligible to appear for the UGC NET examination. Final year candidates who awaits for the final year result can also appear for the examination.

The minimum eligibility to apply for UGC NET exam is that candidates must have completed the post graduation degree in the post graduate subjects or its related subjects only.

There is no age limit for UGC NET lectureship but candidates must be below 30 years for NET JRF

Age not more than 30 years
