Myself Sukhen Som, 34 years, will shortly submit my doctoral thesis in Pharmacy faculty. I have been pursuing Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. I have completed my P.G from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and hold 7th rank in karnataka state. I have in my credit more than ten research articles published in reputed journals. Presently I am working as Asst. Prof. in a private institution in Bangalore. so now after completion of my Ph.D what are the options or opportunities or feasibilities in future career?

You are working as a assistant professor and a Ph.D degree can help you grow in your present job. If you want to go for any other job then there are R&D positions available in pharma companies for Ph.D candidates.

Most of the Ph.D pharmacy holders are employed as professor in pharmacy colleges. There is not much research going on in India. You can also enter clinical research field these days.
